For several reasons, services in which someone does a job for you are often thought of as a luxury. Tree trimming is often thought of that way as well. It’s not a luxury at all. Whether you’re running a business or a household, goo tree trimming is of the utmost importance. You need tree trimmers to come to your property probably every six months to make sure everything is in good shape. Here is why.
Falling Trees Are Dangerous and Expensive
Whatever you spend on a tree trimming service will likely be less than you would spend repairing your house, car, or business if a tree fell on it. Also, a tree trimming service won’t raise your insurance rates and take weeks to accomplish. The inconvenience alone would be worth the price of a tree trimmer.
Furthermore, falling trees are dangerous to you, your family, your customers, and your pets. You obviously cannot put a price on your health; you can protect yourself with trimmed trees. When a tree grows too tall or the branches grow too large, they are in danger of falling. Falling branches, such as after a strong wind, have been known to hurt or kill hundreds of people every year.
Trimming Trees Yourself Costs Money
Many people choose to trim their own trees because they think that’s a good way to save money; it’s not. There are two basic reasons it’s not going to save you much money. For one, you will be spending time out of your day doing this work. If you are doing it while you’re not at work, you will be pushing other weekend activities into your work time. That means you’ll need to either do those activities instead of working or ultimately pay someone to do them. So, that’s not much of a saving.
If you are doing the trimming at your business or one of your employees is doing it, they’ll be earning pay for a job other than the one they’re assigned. That means you’ll have to pay them to trim trees and then to do the job for which you hired them. If you do it yourself, you’ll lose that productivity and have to work for free to catch up.
The other reason that trimming your own trees won’t save you much money is the cost of trimming tools. To properly trim your own trees, you need gloves, ladders, pole saws, hedge trimmers, chain saws, ropes, and some way to haul away the downed branches. That will cost you hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars in the long run.
Save yourself some time and money by hiring professionals; they’ll do a better job too.
