REMOVAL ISN’T ALWAYS THE ANSWER
but when it is, we’re here for you
The roots of shrubs, and especially trees, can be expansive, leading to interference of your other plants and sometimes even damaging or cracking foundations, driveways, or pipes. When you want to reclaim space, prevent destruction of structures, or save your other plants and landscaping from being destroyed, removal is often the choice to make. Another frequent reason for shrubs or trees to be removed is that a homeowner is ready to update the look or design of their landscaping. Trees and shrubs can get in the way and detract from the overall look of a design a homeowner might be going for, so removing or even transplanting shrubs or smaller trees can better fit the aesthetic.
Shrubs and trees can get infected with diseases and start to die off, especially during the summer when infections and diseases thrive. Instead of allowing disease to spread to other plants, quick removal can prevent unnecessary damage to your property’s landscaping. Not only can unhealthy trees fall on your home, but they can also bring down power lines, other healthy trees and even cause damage to your neighbors property. Removing them before they are able to fall during a storm is the safest preventative measure recommended for older or already damaged trees. If you are unsure of whether or not your tree is ready for removal, give us a call. We’ll come take a look at it and help you make an informed decision.
TRIM IT UP
Trimming trees and shrubs consists of removing specific areas of a plant and offers many benefits for their health and longevity. Most trees probably won’t need to be shaped in the same way that shrubs often do. Trees can drop branches on houses, get in the way of power lines, and lean dangerously over structures. Simply cutting the limbs off of a tree or shrub is not the same as trimming and shaping. Instead of trimming unnecessary parts off of the tree, our professional staff is able to correctly identify which branches and buds need to be trimmed. Proper trimming of your trees and shrubs can help to extend their life and overall health. Arbor Safe is your go-to team of experts when you’re ready to invest in the health and longevity of your trees and shrubs!
Trees add value in many ways, both to you and to your property. Healthy trees can provide a natural shade that keeps your yard and your home cooler in the summer, which in turn can help to reduce your overall power consumption. Your new trees will also provide fresh oxygen as they act as natural respirators. Beautiful, healthy trees enhance the property’s curb appeal and can also boost your property values!
ADDING NEW LIFE
Nothing makes a house look like it’s been a fixture for decades like the addition of beautiful trees and shrubs. Consider the new subdivisions you’ve driven through. What’s missing? Mature trees that give the neighborhood depth and character! Arbor Safe’s certified arborists will help you pick the right tree for your needs and plant it the right way to ensure it grows big and strong for decades to come.
What type of tree should you plant? It depends on what you want from the new addition. Do you want wind blocking or shade? How about a fruit bearing tree to provide delicious and healthy food? Our team will work with you to help you design the perfect plan for your needs.
GETTING TO THE ROOTS
Stump grinding is the process of removing the entire stump of a tree, allowing the area to be used for other purposes like new landscaping. Stump grinding is a more efficient process than most other options. Stump removal will alleviate you having to deal with a dangerous stump left in your yard or the looming eye sore of a lonely stump sitting on your property. Those that choose not to remove their stumps can expect a long decomposition process, whereas stump grinding can get rid of the problem in no time at all. At Arbor Safe, we offer stump grinding to our customers that are looking for a quick, minimally invasive solution to get rid of the stumps.
Most stump grinding is often done on stumps that are just a few inches high. However, we are able to use our state-of-the-art equipment to quickly and efficiently grind the stump below grade level – until there is no trunk left. We also take care of the root flares, which are the part of the tree that widens into the roots which can allow the tree to regrow if not properly eliminated. The remaining roots left in the soil simply break down and decompose after the stump grinding process and do not require any further care. This is a less invasive option on your property for getting rid of stumps and allows the homeowner to quickly use the area for other purposes.
GETTIN’ IT READY
One of the most overlooked aspect of tree and shrub care is preparation for seasonal changes. The Treasure Valley’s unique climate can cause unnecessary stress and potential damage to vegetation that has not been properly prepared. Don’t delay on getting your trees and shrubs ready for the impending weather that’s just over the horizon!
CLEANIN’ IT UP
Getting your trees and shrubs trimmed can help to ensure their long and healthy life, but what about the rest of your property? Flower beds, gardens, small bushes and other landscaped areas of your property will also benefit from routine cleanup and maintenance. Give us a call. We’ll come out, assess your situation and help you prepare for whatever is needed! Arbor Safe has the tools and the team to handle it all.
